National Leadership Academy engages high school students in leadership training, service learning and civic engagement through participation in an intensive summer academy held in Denver, Colorado.
Our vision is to create civic and service-minded high school students by developing their leadership skills, inspiring purpose, and empowering them to make a difference.
Students will meet young leaders from around the country, hear from nationally renowned leadership speakers, spend a day serving the community, enjoy a mountain leadership experience, attend a leadership event in downtown Denver and more!

During past programs, high school leaders and those aspiring to become leaders heard from local and nationally renowned speakers. The program taught students how to network through the Dale Carnegie Institute, which is the best of the best when it comes to connecting with people. The Dale Carnegie principals for obtaining and maintaining business relationships have been around since the early 1900's and are just as viable today. The program also taught students the value and importance of giving back to their community through service. Students learned about various non-profits and how they work and function in our society. Our participants also learned etiquette from a top professional trainer familiarized them and made them more comfortable in various social settings. Students gained the knowledge they need to be successful and function in college during our college preparation training. The students were also taught financial skills including money management, bank accounts and the allure and dangers of credit cards. The students also participated in some exciting sessions on our low ropes course, learning teamwork and different forms of leadership. Finally our students had a blast attending a Colorado Rockies game at Coors Field before heading home to their families.
